Greetings to the Students and Parents that make up the GJHS Choirs!

 

How nice it is to welcome you to a new year at George Junior High School and our award-winning choral program! You have chosen to be a part of an organization that can offer you many opportunities for growth and provide experiences in music that you will remember for a lifetime.

 

This handbook is designed as a resource to introduce you to the many facets of the GJHS Choral Department and to answer as many questions as possible.  In an active program like this one, your cooperation helps ensure a successful experience for all.  We know that parent and guardian support and involvement in the choir program is the greatest asset we have.

 

With over a decade of successful years behind us, we are looking forward to starting a new year which includes you and your student.  We are confident that this year will be a strong continuation of that commitment to excellence and growth.

 

We believe your child deserves the BEST!!! Our goal is to provide the best possible opportunities and experiences for your student while members of the George Junior High Choir.  We will work hard to ensure a high level of learning and success.

 

The George Choir Directors will:

1. Notify parents well in advance of concerts and other choir events.

2. Keep students and parents informed of their student’s grade and progress in class.

3. Operate a fair, orderly, positive and achievement-oriented classroom.
